The Resch Academic Success Center (ASC) is an academic support unit under the Division of Student Success. Formed in 1996 as the Marion G. Resch Center for Student Progress, the ASC has since served as a crucial part of student success providing both peer and professional academic assistance.
The mission of the Resch Academic Success Center is to provide resources and support to promote the academic success of all YSU students.

The Resch Academic Success Center employs more than 100 undergraduate students as Peer Tutors and Office Assistants. Through these roles, student employees gain valuable professional experience while developing skills that prepare them for success beyond college.
To support this development, the ASC partners with the Office of Career Exploration and Development to conduct an annual career competencies assessment. The assessment provides student employees with an opportunity to reflect on their growth and confidence in seven career-ready competencies: Communication, Critical Thinking, Teamwork, Professionalism, Career & Self-Development, Leadership, and Technology.
