YSU Student Security Service

The YSU Student Security Service is sponsored by the YSU Police Department. The service provides a walking escort, and a motorized cart service for individuals with mobility challenges. The service is provided free of charge to YSU staff, students and visitors.  The cart service is reserved for individuals with mobility challenges; it is not a taxi service.

We now provide a virtual walk home through the Penguin Safe app.

You must register for the service. Click the “Register for Service” link below.  Re-registration is unnecessary after your initial registration.

Register for Service

After registering, you can call (330) 941-1515 from your cell phone, or dial extension 1515 from any campus phone anytime you need the service. Give the call taker your first and last name, pick-up location, and destination.

The service is unavailable during breaks, class cancellations, and University holidays.
