Learn more about sanctions issued to those found responsible for violations of University policies
Sanctions are disciplinary consequences imposed on students who have been found responsible for violations of The Student Code of Conduct. While sanctions may be viewed as punitive, the intent is educational. The Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct hopes that all students sanctioned will learn from their experience in the conduct process and become better university community members as a result.
The Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct divides sanctions into three categories. Each category is intended to meet our mission to promote character, community and civility among university students through a fair, structured, and educationally-based conduct process. These categories work together to encourage student learning, growth, and a safe learning environment.
