AVI Fresh Exception Process:

Per University negotiated contract, food and catering services are exclusive to AVI Fresh in all campus locations except for the following locations:

• Barnes and Noble Bookstore, Stambaugh Stadium, Beeghly Center, WATTS Center, Athletic Concessions, and Wick Pollock House

One-time exceptions can be approved by the Associate Vice President of Student Experience, Joy Polkabla Byers, jlbyers@ysu.edu

• In order to be granted an exception, the department should request a quote from AVI before submitting a request for an exception. Requests are to be emailed to jlbyers@ysu.edu and need to be included when creating PO. One-time exceptions will not be granted if less than 48 hours prior to an event.
   

Catertrax will be used for all catering or by contacting the Catering Director at ysucatering@avifoodsystems.com to discuss your unique needs.

• All on-campus catering with a value of $100 or higher must be done through AVI Fresh. YSU departments can use Catertrax through Ecube to place orders, and not a university credit card.
   
• All food orders under $100 are to be pre-packaged items, regardless of the food supplier(s). Perishable foods are not permitted.
   
• Due to supply chain issues, some items are difficult to obtain and may need more than the 48-hour traditional request to locate specialty items.
   
• A BRE is required for all food purchases.
