Bio

I coordinate the Professional Writing concentration of the undergraduate English B.A. Program, and I teach in the English M.A. Program. I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in composition, professional writing, and writing pedagogy and research. My research examines expert-novice interaction and feedback in academic and professional settings, including the composition classroom, university writing center, and teaching hospital. Currently, I am working on a project comparing how student writers respond to feedback from various sources, including instructors, peers, and Generative AI.
