WCBA Meet the Employers Day connects more than 55 companies with the region’s next generation of business professionals

More than 55 local, regional and national employers participated in the Williamson College of Business Administration’s Meet the Employers Day.

The event provides employers with direct access to the region’s next generation of business professionals. By meeting with students face-to-face, companies can identify strong candidates for internships, part-time roles and full-time positions. It is also an opportunity to raise brand visibility among students preparing to launch their careers.

“Employers consistently tell us that Meet the Employers Day is one of their most effective recruitment events,” said Christina O’Connell, executive director of the WCBA Center for Career Management. “It allows them to connect early with ambitious, career-ready students who are eager to contribute to the success of their organizations. At the same time, it helps build the talent pipeline that is so important to the Mahoning Valley and the broader region.”

“Meet the Employers Day plays an essential role in shaping the Mahoning Valley’s talent pipeline," added Christina Saenger, interim dean of the WCBA. "It highlights the WCBA’s role in developing career-ready talent and connecting that talent with employers who are driving growth in the region and across Ohio.”

For students, the event is equally valuable. It gives them the opportunity to strengthen networking skills, explore career paths and secure professional opportunities, while also helping employers engage with candidates who are prepared to contribute from day one.

The WCBA Center for Career Management plays a central role in this preparation by equipping students with strong resumes, polished interview skills and access to employers through the college’s Handshake career management platform.
