Beeghly College of Liberal Arts, Social Sciences & Education

Well-Rounded Education, Well-Received Graduates.

A small liberal arts college within a larger university. A big school's resources with a small school's focus on personal attention. You'll receive the most from both worlds here.

Our liberal arts programs are pathways to careers. Don't believe it? Today’s employers seek graduates with superior communication, problem-solving and knowledge-integration skills. Those are the same skill sets that define a liberal arts major.

The Beeghly College of Liberal Arts, Social Sciences and Education serves Northeast Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and beyond as a premier provider of programs that prepare educators, journalists, lawyers, psychologists, writers, and more. Our college offers a diverse array of degree paths that leave students with a variety of career paths to choose from.

Departments

We develop clinical counselors, student affairs professionals, school psychologists, school counselors, principals, superintendents, and educational leaders who work in culturally and socially diverse school, mental health, and community settings and act as facilitators of personal, educational and social change for individuals and communities.

GRADUATE DEGREES

The Bachelor of General Studies degree (BGS) provides an opportunity for students to select two areas of focus or concentration rather than focusing on one major which diversifies their education and skills. Focus areas or concentrations can be as broad or specific as the student desires. This allows for maximum flexibility to degree completion.

BACHELOR'S DEGREE

Not finding a major that speaks to you? No problem, we'll help you create your own.

BACHELOR'S PROGRAM

To receive a full liberal arts education in half the time, we offer a broad path to your associate. Classes cover several departments for a flexible degree.

ASSOCIATE DEGREE

If you're looking to be a teacher in Ohio, then this is the place to start. Specialize your knowledge in a subject, then build on those principles to find the best ways to teach it.
